More safari photos...

Male elephant.  When they flap their ears at you it is a warning you are annoying them.

Hippos spend most of the day underwater but we did see a herd/pack/horde? of hippos
crossing the river near the Hotel Protea around dusk.

Wild dog eating breakfast.  Impala.  Yum.
Actually, this was a very rare sight because there are only 400 wild dogs left in Kruger. We came across this pack of 8 wild dogs tearing apart something (impala).  Each ended up with a chunk and they all proceded to plop down in the shade and eat the entire chunk - bones and all.

We got a little  too close to this one!

More Rhinos.  We saw black and white rhinos neither of which you can tell apart by color.  The white rhinos have a square shaped lower jaw for eating grasses and the black rhino has V-shaped jaw for eating shrubs.

Do you know what they call Impala at Kruger?     Cat food.

More to come later.
